Install Checklist for R&R

In order to get started we need a PC installed at the dealership with the following:

• Windows 2000 Professional operating system
• Windows XP Professional operating system

The PC needs to have a connection to the internet and IPS Support  must be installed to enable communications.  Contact IPS directly to receive a user name and password to download this software from our web site.

We will need some additional information from you to get the software installed:

1. A fixed IP Address for the ScanIt Parts PC Server.
2. A fixed IP Address for each Monarch scanner gun.
3. The IP Address of the R&R system.
4. A Login Name and Password for the R&R system.
5. Security clearance to get to the following screens:
6. • 2062 - Parts Posting
   • 7601 - Query, Orders Pull
   • 2101 - Parts Maintenance
   • 77 - DCS -- We also need a login and password for the DCS screen.
   • Screen 6230, Option 1 - Add user 'IPS' to the "Excluded" list for changing password.

   • • DCS - Dealer Communication Systems
   • Honda
   • • Login Name and Password for Honda Interactive
     • Access to Order Acknowledgments
     • Access to Order Status Inquiry
7. Ensure ENG statements (query builder) is enabled.
8. Install the Access Point in the receiving area of the Parts Department.  It should be connected to the dealership's Local Area Network. Example
9. From the PC we can test to make sure communications work from the PC to the access point.
